Am I a Lucky Woman or What?!

I can't believe what a lucky woman I am! Terry told me he bought me a Christmas present already.

There's just a couple of things wrong with that....

...it isn't Christmas

..I really haven't "received" anything - as this 1970's something Cushman Trackster resides in Arizona

...it is the LAST thing I would ever want!

Now, Terry, on the other hand, has been researching these machines for several years. What are the chances it's just what he wanted?! LOL He got a really good deal on this one by buying it on eBay. Of course, as I mentioned, it's in ARIZONA! And may or may not run! That's not an issue with him - if it has an engine - he loves it. And it Will RUN.

Tracksters are little machines with rubber tracks and although they were primarily used in snow (has a snowmobile motor) they can also run in the dirt. Terry thinks it would be great for when we want to run around our land, some of which is up hill. Oh well, I guess it will have to beat riding up hill on the tractor with him - where I'm standing on it, and haven't a lot to hold on to!

Hey, I loved it when Grandpa Hull used to let us stand behind the tractor seat and hold on to him -- but I bet we were smaller then. Terry's a great guy. It was nice of him to get you this gift you aren't even certain you want, because once you get it you'll wonder how you ever did without it.

So, when are you heading for Arizona, and will you be stopping by here?

Sure he got it for me, sure he did!

Actually, we will be leaving here the 17th OF THIS MONTH and heading a long way east before we go south. Probably won't be stopping by there - it doesn't appear to be on the way this time. You'll have to come see us!

Gee, it's good to know that my Pappa Bear isn't the only one who gifts me with presents for him! The latest was tickets to a Steeler Game. I detest football. Gotta love 'em though.

If you were really heading far enough east you'd be coming to Ohio. Guess I'll just have to meet you in Arizona later in the winter... :) (Not likely to happen, but I can dream, can't I?)

anonymous....yes, I'm getting use to these kind of gifts! And I really can't complain - I'm a pretty spoiled girl and pretty much get what I want. LOL

Kat - I'm with you on that football thing. Between the sports and anything with an engine in it..
I keep telling hubby I wish I was younger..I'd have a boy so he'd have someone to share it all with besides me!

Oh Brookie...after a winter in Ohio, you'll be ready to meet us somewhere warm alright!! Get those snow tires yet??? LOL

So, when are you picking this little beauty up? Surely it can't just run home in it's own.

Hey, Quilly-Sister, you want to come haul it for us? You'll have a long break over Christmas!

Actually, we're still discussing that. Could rent a trailer and pull it home behind the car - but as we'll have the motorhome down there - it would mean ME driving the car all the way home. Pulling something. Ore ME driving the motorhome. I donwanna!! Not either of those two things!!

Well, I bet it gets pretty good gas mileage. It would take a while but maybe if you drove it all the way from Arizona they would make a movie about it-- does this sound familiar? I think it's been done before. A new toy for the old boy. Here's a poem for you:

This ain't no tractor, this here is a trackster! it goes up hills and back down them much fackster. It'll get you through snow or even a through a natural disackster. And my wife ain't never heard of one because I just ackster. Peace, Tom

Tom, welcome home....I've missed your blog!

The little trackster doesn't run, I don't believe, so won't be driving it for awhile.

Oh my, thanks for that poem! I'll share it!
